With over three decades of legal experience, Trina Nycol Brown seamlessly blends practical expertise with academic insight. She is the founder of Mediators of Tarrant County, where she specializes in mediating bioethical disputes and medical ethical consultations. In addition to her mediation work, Mrs. Brown has trained and mentored legal professionals through her State Bar of Texas MCLE-approved programs by guiding those interested in becoming mediators.

A Credentialed Advanced Mediator with the Texas Mediation Credentialing Association, Mrs. Brown was featured in the Texas Bar Journal as one of only three professionals in Tarrant County to hold this prestigious designation. She also serves as a court-appointed mediator for both Dallas and Tarrant County courthouses and has served as a Fee Arbitrator for the Tarrant County Bar Association. In recognition of her commitment to service and continuing legal education, Mrs. Brown was inducted into both the Pro Bono College of the State Bar of Texas and the Texas Bar College, an honor society chartered by the Supreme Court of Texas.

An award-winning professor in paralegal studies and a recognized subject-matter expert in alternative dispute resolution, Mrs. Brown teaches within multiple ABA-approved paralegal studies program. She has contributed extensively to university education through her service on multiple advisory boards where she helped to shape comprehensive curricula. Her published works include longstanding contributions to the State Bar of Texas Paralegal Ethics Handbook and her article, How to Become a High-Potential (HiPo) Paralegal, featured in The Legal Educator magazine by the American Association for Paralegal Education (AAfPE).

A proud Philadelphia native, Mrs. Brown holds a master’s degree from The George Washington University, a bachelor's degree from Immaculata University and is currently pursuing a doctorate in mediation. Her research interests include the bioethics, sociology of medicine and law, sociological jurisprudene and eudaimonic environments.
